About Your System This section describes the physical, firmware, and software interface features that provide and ensure the essential functioning of your system. The physical connectors on your system’s front and back panels provide convenient connectivity and system expansion capability. Hard-Drive Indicator Codes The hard-drive carriers have two indicators—a drive-activity indicator and a drive-status indicator. See Figure 1-2. Figure 1-2. Power Indicator Codes The power button on the front panel controls the power input to the system's power supplies. The power indicator can provide information on power status (see Figure 1-1).
