Setting up your camera Charging the battery using optional accessories Kodak 5V AC adapter (2 amp) To charge the battery, turn off the camera. To power the camera (without charging the battery), turn on the camera. Kodak EasyShare camera and printer docks Turn off the camera. Kodak USB cable and a USB computer port Turn off the camera. Setting up your camera Storing pictures on an optional SD or SDHC card Your camera has internal memory. You can purchase an SD or SDHC card to store more pictures and videos (www.kodak.com/go/z1015accessories). 1 Turn off the camera. Insert or remove the 2 optional card. Turn on the camera. 3 CAUTION: A card can only be inserted one way; forcing it may cause damage. Inserting or removing a card when the camera is on may damage the pictures, the card, or the camera. 2 Taking pictures/videos Taking a picture 1 EVF LCD Smart Capture mode 2 Press the EVF/LCD button for: • LCD or • EVF (electronic viewfinder) 3 Press the Shutter button halfway to focus and set exposure. When the framing marks turn Framing marks green, press the Shutter button completely down. NOTE: After you take a picture, the EVF/LCD displays a quickview. The camera attempts to focus on foreground subjects, even if they’re not centered in the scene. 1 Press the Shutter button halfway.
