Engine Pre-Ride Checklist To avoid serious injury or death, WARNING always complete both the engine and equipment manufacturer’s pre-ride checklist before using the engine. This engine should NEVER be used if you identify a problem with any of the steps listed below. Be sure the engine is turned off for steps 1 thru 4: 1. Pressing the 1 switch to the “OFF” position will turn the engine off when it is running. This switch must be in the “ON” position or the engine will not start. See Figure 13. 2 D.
