4. Hardware Description This section describes the hardware features of this Fast/Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch. For easier management and control of the switch, familiarize yourself with its display indicators and ports. All LEDs are located on the front panel of the switch. If the VLAN mode is 802.1Q VLAN, you can set PVID (port VID) in the same menu, too. PVID (Port VID): Set the port VLAN ID that will be assigned to untagged traffic on a given port. This feature is useful for accommodating devices that you want to participate in the VLAN but that don’t support tagging.
