Connecting the Telephone Line On the base, plug one end of the straight telephone line cord into the jack on the back of the base and the other end into a modular wall telephone jack. Connecting the Corded Handset 1. Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the jack on the side of the base. 2. Telephone Set Up There are twelve programmable menus available: Language, Display Contrast, Rings to Answer, Security Code, Ringer Level, Ringer Tone, Set Day, Set Time, Local Area Code, Link Cordless Handset, and Default Setting.
