HELPFUL HINTS: 1. If the rotary dial is set between the middle of two settings before heating, the heater will not turn on when the on/off button is pressed. Place the dial at the desired setting and push the on/off button again. 2. If the glass kettle is not placed on the base before heating, the heater will not turn on when the on/off button is pressed and the power light will blink.
