Basics - 1 Overview The Apple Multiple Scan 1705 Display is a low-cost monitor with a 17-inch CRT (15.8-inch viewable image size). This monitor comes with a Macintosh-to-VGA adapter so it can be used with most IBM PC-compatible computers equipped with VGA or greater capability.

Basics - 4 Troubleshooting and Repair Tips The monitor stand does not need to be removed before the rear housing is removed. When the video and main deflection boards are removed from the bezel, special care must be taken to avoid damaging the user brightness and contrast controls. Basics - 5 Special Tools When adjusting the monitor, check luminance readings using a color analyzer or photometer. If such equipment is not available, then use a 246 or an L-248 light meter.
