Making Connections Connecting the Telephone Line and an External Device The MultiPASS has two jacks on the back for connection of the following: • Telephone line • Optional handset, telephone, answering machine, or data modem If you only have one telephone line and plan to use the MultiPASS for receiving both faxes and voice calls, you will need to connect the optional handset, a telephone, or an answering machine to the unit. Be sure to connect any external device before using your MultiPASS. F
