First Steps Inserting the Battery The following explains how to insert the battery into the camera. Open the battery-chamber cover. Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the battery before use. Connect the supplied AC adapter into the Plug the AC adapter in. 1 2 USB multi-connector. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet. Confirm that the camera is off. The Indicator Lamp will light up red (pg. 17). The Indicator Lamp will turn off when the battery is fully charged. Inserting a Memory Card Although the camera can store pictures in internal memory, SD memory cards (sold separately) can be used to store additional pictures.
