Ready light Mode dial If you do not remove the lens cap, it comes off automatically when you turn OK on the camera. 2 Turn the Mode dial from Off to any other position. The ready light blinks green while the camera performs a self-check. When the ready light glows steady green, the camera is ready to take pictures (or videos, if the mode dial is set to ).
