Stopping and Pausing Play To Stop Disc Play STOP Press the STOP button to stop playback of the disc. With Audio CDs, VCDs and DVDs, after the STOP button is pressed, the 1 message HOLD will be displayed. The stop point is now saved and you can resume playback by pressing PLAY.
