2. INSTALLATION 2.1. Overview The 2742 is part of the 7 Series Multi-line phone system. Up to 16 instruments may be connected in this system. All these devices use conventional telephone wiring. Total wiring runs between stations may not exceed 600 feet. 2.2. Before Installation In order to install your telephones correctly, you must determine the incoming wiring configuration. In most cases, incoming lines will be terminated in either RJ-11 Single Line Jacks or RJ-14 Double Line

4. TELEPHONE OPERATION 4.1. Making and Answering Intercom Calls To make an intercom call from a telephone connected to the Cordless Adapter, go off hook and dial the desired station number (01 through 16). When receiving an intercom call, your cordless telephone will ring but no line LED will light. If you have Caller ID on your telephone, the calling station information will be displayed. 4.2.
