Charging the Battery Charging the Battery Before using it for the first time, the battery must be charged for at least four hours. When deli- vered, the battery is in the uncharged state and is in sleeping mode. The battery can be charged in any state i.e. at any charge level. As soon as the ambient temperature of the battery is less than 0° or more than 40° the battery cannot be charged and the charging unit remains in standby mode. 3.
