INSTALLING THE PHONE Choose the best location to install your base and handset charge cradle. WALL MOUNTING THE BASE NOTE: For best results, leave the phone on a flat surface during initial charging before you hang the phone on the wall. 1. Turn the base over. 2. Attach the wall mounting pedestal by first inserting the tabs on the open edge of the pedestal into the slots on the lower portion of the bottom of the base. AREA CODE Make sure your handset or base is at the main mode. If you enter a 3-digit area code in the area code menu, your local area code will not appear in Caller ID messages you receive. Instead, you will see only the local seven digit number. Calls you receive from outside your local area code will show the full ten-digit number.
