First Steps Inserting the Batteries The camera takes two AA alkaline (LR6) batteries (supplied) or two AA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (sold separately). First Steps Inserting a Memory Card Although the camera can store pictures in internal memory, SD memory cards (sold separately) can be used to store additional pictures. When no memory card is inserted, d appears in the monitor and internal memory is used for recording and playback. Note that because camera malfunction could cause internal memory to become corrupted, the pictures in internal memory should periodically be transferred to a computer and saved on the computer hard disk or on r

The card can now be removed by hand. C Cautions • The memory card may spring out if you remove your finger immediately after pushing the card in. • Memory cards may be warm to the touch after being removed from the camera.
