Int r odu ct ion 1. Introduction The Nokia Remote Camera is an imaging device with a motion detector, thermometer, and microphone. With the camera you can capture still images and video clips remotely, and send them to your multimedia messaging (MMS) enabled mobile phone, or to an e-mail address. You control and configure the camera with text messages (SMS) or with the Remote Camera Manager application that can be downloaded from the camera to a compatible phone. See “Download Remote Camer

Introd uction Note: Check how large MMS messages your compatible mobile phone is capable of receiving. Your network operator may also restrict the size of MMS messages. Ask your network operator for details. The images and messages sent from the camera are charged to the subscription of the SIM card in the camera. Your device supports the sending of text messages beyond the normal 160-character limit. If your message exceeds 160 characters, it is sent as a series of two or more messages.

Therefore, the camera is not switched off during a mains power cut, unless the back-up battery runs out. F i r s t start-up 2. First start-up 1 To remove the back cover of the camera, press the buttons on the side (1) and slide the cover in the direction of the arrow (2). Note: Before removing the cover, always switch off the power and disconnect the power supply and any other device. Avoid touching electronic components while changing the covers.
