If you need to open the door, see ‘Pausing a wash programme’ for instructions on pausing and resuming a wash programme. 17 Loading the dishwasher Loading tips Remove all food scraps from dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. Cups, glasses and bowls must have their openings facing downwards. 18 Loading the dishwasher Using the cutlery basket The cutlery basket can be split into three sections and its grid inserts may also be removed. The smaller cutlery basket sections also fit in the upper basket (as shown in Fig. 21). Place long items such as ladles, cooking spoons etc. on the cup racks of the lower or upper basket.
