12 Using your dishwasher Notes: We do not recommend opening the dishwasher door when a wash programme is running. If you need to open the door, see ‘Pausing a wash programme’ for instructions on pausing and resuming a wash programme. Take care when you open the door as there may be a rush of steam. 90 seconds after starting a wash programme, the display will dim itself to save energy. 13 Using your dishwasher Pausing a wash programme after the keylock has been automatically activated 1 Deactivate the keylock (see instructions above). 2 When the display shows KEY LOCK DEACTIVATED, press the button. The display will show PAUSED and then PRESS TO CONTINUE. Note: If your dishwasher has been paused for more than 30 seconds, you will need to deactivate the keylock again before you can resume the wash programme. 3 Press the button again to resume the wash programme.

17 Loading the dishwasher Loading tips Remove all food scraps from dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. Cups, glasses and bowls must have their openings facing downwards. 18 Loading the dishwasher Using the cutlery basket The cutlery basket can be split into three sections and its grid inserts may also be removed. The smaller cutlery basket sections also fit in the upper basket (as shown in Fig. 21). Place long items such as ladles, cooking spoons etc. on the cup racks of the lower or upper basket.
