Garmin GPS 196 The Garmin 196 requires a Power/data cable (Garmin Part Number 010-10082-00) to provide data output. The Garmin 196 must be configured to provide the correct output to the autopilot. Press the MENU key twice. Use the arrow keypad to select the ‘SETUP’ tab. Within the Setup Menu select the ‘INTERFACE’ tab. Using the arrow keypad highlight the ‘Serial Data Format’ field.
