For the system to display depth, water temperature and speed, you must install the transducer type(s) capable of transmitting the appropriate data. All cables should be adequately secured, protected from physical damage, and protected from exposure to heat.  Avoid running cables through bilges or doorways, or close to moving or hot objects.
