4 Squeezebox2 Owner’s Guide Before You Begin If you already have a wireless or ethernet network and a computer to use as a server, setting up Squeezebox2 and SlimServer takes just a few minutes—all you need to get your music playing through Squeezebox2 is this owner’s guide. 1. Your Desktop is a good choice. 2. When the fi le has fi nished downloading, double-click on the SlimServer installer icon. Hint: You may see an ‘Open File - Security Warning’, if so, click Run. Your web browser may do this for you automatically. 3. Double-click on the SlimServer Installer icon. The SlimServer Installer will start. 4. You can also connect a digital optical cable to the square connector or digital coaxial cable to the orange connector. (These cables are not included.) Before you create and save a playlist, make sure you have specifi ed a folder for Squeezebox2 to use for saving playlists. To specify a playlists folder: 1. From the web interface, click the Server Settings link. 2. In the Playlists Folder section, enter the path to the folder on your hard drive that you want Squeezebox2 to use for saving
