Chapter 2 Setting Up And Using Your Palm ® Modem Accessory ® Before you use your Palm Modem accessory, you must: ■ Install the batteries. Note: The batteries may already be installed. ■ Attach your modem to your organizer. ■ Connect an analog phone cable to your modem. ■ Configure your computer. ■ Configure your organizer. Attaching Palm Modem accessory and cables Your modem has a 10-pin connector that slides into the grooves of your organizer connector. Make sure your modem snaps into place onto the organizer. Setting your organizer preferences Since your Palm Modem accessory uses the Modem Sync software that is resident in your organizer to establish a phone connection with another modem, you must configure your organizer phone settings.
