IMPORTANT NOTICE, FCC LICENSE REQUIRED FOR GMRS OPERATION (Only Applicable for GMRS Radio Use in the United States) The LXT112 Series operates on GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) frequencies which require an FCC (Federal Communications Commission) license. MIC SPK CHG BATTERY INSTALLATION Your LXT112 Series radio operates with 3 AAA alkaline batteries or a NiMH rechargeable batteries. The belt clip should be removed to ease installa- tion or removal of the batteries. To install the batteries: 1. With the back of the radio facing you, remove the belt clip (see diagram below) for easy access, then remove the Battery Cover by pressing down on the top center and sliding it down from the radio. 2. OPERATING YOUR RADIO POWER ON/OFF AND VOLUME Press the POWER/MODE button for at least 3 seconds to turn the radio on/off. To increase/decrease the volume level, press the s s\t t button during RX or STANDBY mode. The VOLUME METER will indicate the volume setting of the radio. TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING A CALL 1.
