With this connection: • You may view any channel. • You must select channels at the Cable Box/DBS. Channels cannot be changed at the VCR. • You may not view a channel other than the one you are recording. • You may not set up channels at the VCR. • Timer recordings are programmed differently. 10 Installing/Removing the Lithium Battery You may install a lithium battery in the VCR. This will allow the VCR to save the clock setting and the programmed timer recordings if a power outage occurs. The battery can back up your timer recordings and clock setting for around six months (4,000 hours).
