Recording an MD right away! Connect to a digital source using an optical cable to make digital recordings. Digital recording is possible even from digital equipment with different sampling rates, such as a DAT deck or a BS tuner, using the built-in sampling rates converter (see “ Note on digital recording” (page 59)). To record from an analog source, see “ Recording with analog input (line cable required)” (page 22). It is recommended to use the supplied AC power adaptor when recording. 1
