CONNECTING TO THE STARTER WIRES The starter wire connects the ignition switch to the starter so- lenoid. Follow these steps to find this wire. 1. Using the starter solenoid’s color coded wires as a guide, locate the wire that goes from your vehicle’s ignition (key) switch to the solenoid.
