For tamper-resist, use long-nosed pliers to remove thin plastic from notch on smoke alarm edge. Insert pin into notch on edge of smoke alarm after smoke alarm is positioned properly in base. 11. REPLACE OR RETURN THE ALARM IF THE PUSH-TO-TEST FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY AFTER FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURES OUTLINED ABOVE (see REPAIR below). !
