Clean Before First Use 1. Wash the pitcher, steeping basket, steeping basket lid and pitcher lid in mild detergent and water. Rinse each thoroughly. THESE ITEMS ARE NOT DISH WASHER SAFE. Daily Care To maintain the quality of all parts and minimize tea stains, we recommend washing the pitcher, pitcher lid, steeping basket and lid with warm water and a mild detergent, regularly. THESE ITEMS ARE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. Hard water can leave whitish mineral deposits inside the pitcher and steeping basket. Tea and coffee discolor these deposits.
