First, charge the battery prior to use. Note that the battery of a newly purchased camera is not charged. Perform the steps below to load the battery into the camera and charge it. • Your camera requires a special CASIO rechargeable lithium ion battery (NP-130) for power. Charge the Battery You can use either of the two following methods to charge the camera’s battery. • USB-AC adaptor • USB connection to a computer . To charge with the USB-AC adaptor 1. Turn off the camera. [ON/OFF] (Power) Check to make sure that the camera’s monitor screen is blank. If it isn’t, press [ON/OFF] (Power) to turn off the camera. 2. If this happens, use of the USB-AC adaptor that comes with the camera is recommended

• A battery that has not been used for a long time, certain types of computers, and connection conditions can cause charging to take more than approximately six hours, which will trigger a timer that terminates charging automatically, even if the battery is not fully charged.
