NSA-2400 Quick Start Guide Overview The NSA-2400 (the NSA) is a network storage device for file sharing, data backup and data protection in small (home) offices and/or medium-sized offices. This guide shows you how to: 1 Install hard drives 2 Make NSA Connections 3 Access the NSA using NDU (NSA Discovery Utility) or your web browser 4 Set up the NSA using the wizard 5 Map the NSA to a network drive from any computer Note: See the User’s Guide for more details and specifications on the NSA.

The default NSA certificate will most likely show a name and certification authority mis-match; however encryption is still performed. NSA-2400 Quick Start Guide 4.1.1 Disk Setup Wizard 3 This screen is the Disk Setup Wizard (this screen can be accessed separately from the main NSA screen). Skip this wizard to have the NSA use the current or default volume configuration. • Choose RAID 1 if you have two or four disks in the NSA; half the disk space is used for data backup. An alert is an event, such as hard disk failure, that may require your immediate attention. 6 Select a time server and a time zone in this screen. The NSA updates its date and time from the time server. This time is used in NSA log and alert time stamps. The NSA time and date must be the same as the time and date on the external domain
