Getting Started with Your HP Notebook Setting Up Your Notebook Once you have installed the battery, you can connect the AC adapter to the notebook and charge the battery while you work. To remove the battery ?? Slide the battery’s release latch, then pull the battery out of its compartment. WARNING Do not mutilate, puncture, or dispose of batteries in fire. A battery can burst or explode, releasing hazardous chemicals. A rechargeable battery must be recycled or disposed of properly.
