4 basic calling The basic steps of placing and receiving phone calls with the ooma system are the same as with your regular telephone line. You still use your phones like you always have, and now have advanced ooma calling features at your fingertips. Verify ooma Service is Working When your ooma service is working, the ooma Tab will light up blue, and if you pick up your phone, you will hear the signature ooma dialtone. When a line is ringing, you will see the line button blink rapidly.
