What should I expect from my TrueSTEAM? Honeywell wants to make sure you know what to expect from your new TrueSTEAM installation. Cleaning anD maintenanCe What is the automatic flush cycle? TrueSTEAM automatically flushes out the water tank during the humidifying season. In the automatic flush cycle, cold water enters the tank while water is being emptied through the drain line. The action of simultaneous filling and draining cools the water to a safe draining temperature. It also dilutes water hardness concentration to reduce mineral deposits from forming in the tank. Why do I need to manually clean the tank? Manual cleaning is needed at least once each season to clean out the mineral deposits that remain in the tank after automatic flushing.
