ˆ Preparation INSTALLING THE BACKUP BATTERY If AC power fails or you unplug the system, one 9V alkaline bat- tery (not supplied) is needed to save any recorded messages and the settings for the day and time. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend you use a RadioShack alkaline battery. Follow these steps to install the backup battery. 1.
