WHAT IS NITROUS OXIDE? Nitrous Oxide is a cryogenic gas composed of nitrogen and oxygen molecules. It is stored as a “gas over a liquid” which means that both liquid and gaseous nitrous oxide is delivered into your engine. It is 36% oxygen by weight, which is what produces the added horsepower. 2.0 Performer RPM II Nitrous System Installation 2.1 Nitrous Bottle Mounting The nitrous oxide storage cylinder is typically called a “nitrous bottle”. It is an aluminum cylinder, designed and manufactured to withstand very high pressures. 2.6 Nitrous Solenoid Mounting and Installation 1. Attach the solenoid mounting bracket to the bottom of the nitrous solenoid. 2. 2.8 2-Stage Solenoid Mounting Information When mounting your solenoids in a 2-stage configuration, special attention must be paid to your system set-up. Be sure that you utilize the Performer RPM solenoids for your first stage, and the Victor Pro solenoids for your second stage.
