The LEDs are itemized as follows: Link (Yellow) LED The Link LED indicates that the port is functionally connected to an external port. It lights up when the connected hub is turned on. If the LED does not light up, there may be a problem with the cabling or the hub. Write (Red) LED The write LED blinks when a data packet is being sent from that particular port.
