EN5 Charge Marker Charge marker A charge marker is provided on the battery pack to help you remember whether it has been charged or not. Two colours are provided (red and black)—you choose which one means charged and which means discharged. NOTES: c The recording time per charge is affected by such factors as the time spent in Record-Standby mode and the frequency of zooming. GETTING STARTED (cont.) 6 EN Slot Clock (Lithium) Battery Insertion/Removal This battery is necessary for clock operation and to perform date/time settings. SWITCH OFF POWER 1 Switch off the unit’s power and remove the power supply unit (battery pack, AC Power Adapter/Battery Charger, etc.). REMOVE BATTERY HOLDER 2 Pull out the battery holder. EN9 Cassette holder Loading/Unloading A Cassette OPEN CASSETTE HOLDER 1 Slide EJECT until the holder opens. Do not use force to open. INSERT/REMOVE CASSETTE 2 Make sure the label is facing outward. EN17 5 SEC. REC Button FEATURE: 5Sec. Rec (5-sec. Recording) PURPOSE: To record a scene for 5 seconds, providing quick scene transitions like those seen in TV programmes. OPERATION: 1) Set the LIGHT OFF/AUTO/ON Switch as required: OFF : Turns off the light. AUTO : Automatically turns on the light when the camcorder senses insufficient lighting on the subject.
