Model GXT5000 Series BATTERY INSTALLATION Your GXT5000 Series radio can be fitted with the 2200mAh Li-ion battery pack. To install the battery pack: 1. With the back of the radio facing you, insert the bottom part of the Li-ion battery pack to the bottom of the radio. 2. Model GXT5000 Series CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK Your GXT5000 Series can be recharged using the Desktop Charger. The Desktop Charger can charge both one radio and a separate Li-ion battery pack at the same time. To charge using a Desktop Charger: 1.Insert the AC adapter plug into the desktop charger jack. Model GXT5000 Series SCAN Your GXT5000 Series can scan all 22 channels for activity. To enter, quickly press the SCAN/LOCK button. Repeat the same procedure to exit.
