Getting Started Manually selecting call mode When you are ready to make a call, you can quickly select the call mode you prefer. You can select Globalstar, cellular (digital or analog), or Auto Mode. If you select Auto Mode, the phone looks for service as specified by the Auto Mode setting (see Auto Mode, page 56). Getting Started ■ Move the antenna to its optimal position (pointing straight up to the sky) until it sets into one of three positions. You cannot make or receive a satellite call with the Globalstar satellite antenna stored. The following shows right and wrong antenna positions when making satellite calls: ■ Position yourself outdoors so that you can see the whole sky to prevent dropped calls.
