                        PIT BOSS Users Manual          Pump Usage     To activate hydraulic pump and apply pressure to system to  raise machine, depress the up pedal on the foot pump (See  figure 3).  The pump will build hydraulic pressure in the  system to activate lift cylinders.    To disengage the hydraulic pump, release the foot pedal on  the pump. Retract the mounting clamps on the PIT BOSS and  remove any frame adapters from the lift arms (see  Figure 6).    2. The concrete must be at least 4-1/4” thick with a  compressive strength of 3000psi.     3.  Use a hammer drill with a carbide tip, ¾” diameter  solid drill bit.                         PIT BOSS Users Manual     Machine Pit Layout    The PIT BOSS is designed specifically for use in a flush mount pit.  Figure 39 shows the pit dimensions.  For maximum  effectiveness it is essential that the hydraulic and air lines be run in conduit under the surface of the floor.
