- INSTALLING THE RANGE HOOD - (Keep all packing materials for return or exchange) Temporarily wire the hood to test for proper operation before installing. Before installing, please peel protective film off the hood first, if any. NOTE: The recommended distance from range hood bottom to top of the cooking surface is between 28” ~ 30”. {Fig. 1a} {Fig. 1b}

b) For rear venting: Unscrew the rectangular plastic vent portion at the back of the hood. {Fig.4} Turn the vent piece over so that the flat surface is facing you.
