SECTION III INSTALLATION PROCEDURES Installation should be performed by competent technicians in accordance with local and state codes. DRYER ENCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS Even though a 12-inch (30.48 cm) clearance is acceptable, it is recommended that the rear of the dryer be positioned approximately 2 feet (0.60 meters) from the nearest obstruction (i.e., wall) for ease of installation, maintenance, and service.
