                        Basic Operation Loading a Cassette Tape Loading and Playing a Cassette Tape 1. Use your finger or a pencil to turn the cassette’s hub and take up  any tape slack.                         Basic Operation Dolby NR systems reduce tape hiss and background noise. When  Dolby Noise Reduction (NR) recording, the systems listen for places where you might later hear hiss.  The systems record these sections at a higher level.
