Installation Selecting a Location Before choosing a location for your new phone, there are some important guidelines you should consider: • The location should be close to both a phone jack and continuous power outlet. Adapter Safety Feature The AC Adapter furnished with this phone may be equipped with a polarized line plug — a plug having one blade wider than the other. This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. Do not alter the shape of the blades of the polarized plug. Wall Installation Standard Wall Plate Mounting These phones are designed to be mounted on a standard AT&T or GTE wall plate. 1. Plug one end of the short telephone cord into the TEL LINE jack on the Base Unit. RING VOL PULSE-TONE DC IN 9V TEL LINE OFF-LO-HI 2.
