Getting Started Connecting the Hardware This section describes how to connect NPort 5400 to serial devices for first time testing purposes. Initial IP Address Configuration The part of the LCM operation that still requires some explanation is how to edit the configurable options. In fact, you will only encounter two types of configurable options. NPort Administration Suite NPort Administration Suite consists of some useful utility programs that are used to configure and manage your NPorts. See Chapter 5 for details on how to install NPort Administration Suite, and how to use this suite of useful utilities to set up IP addresses and configure your NPort.
