Installing the Mobile Connect Basic software for Windows Mobile Connect Basic fr om Bell is a softwar e application that allows you to manage your wireless connections over the 3G network. This software is preloaded onto the Turbo Stick and can be installed on your computer; no CD r equir ed. To continue with the installation, you must click Agree to accept the terms of the License Agr eement. Activating your 3G Turbo Stick 1. When Mobile Connect Basic runs it will check if your T urbo Stick has been activated. Y our T urbo Stick must be activated and you must subscribe to a Mobile Internet plan f or your T urbo Stick to oper ate on the Bell Mobility network. Mobile Connect Basic will begin the automatic activation process. This process takes several minutes, please be patient. 2. Mobile Connect Basic is now r eady to use. The main scr een will appear.

For manual activation, you will need the following information: • Y our Mobile Dir ectory Number (MDN) / phone number • Y our Mobile Station ID (MSID) (usually the same as your MDN) • Y our unlock code (The default unlock code is “1 1 1 1 1 1 ”) Use the Activation Wizar d under the T ools menu (wr ench Icon) to enter your unlock code. T ype the six-digit number into the field pr ovided and click Next.

Mobile Connect Basic will then pr ompt you to enter your Mobile Dir ectory Number (MDN) and Mobile Station ID (MSID). Enter these two number s into the fields pr ovided. After successful fir st-time activation the main scr een will appear.

Inserting and removing the 3G Turbo Stick from your computer The Turbo Stick can be inserted or removed from your computer at any time. As an external device, the T urbo Stick is vulner able to damage during tr ansport. It is r ecommended that you r emove and secur ely stor e it when transporting your computer. Inserting and removing a microSD card The Turbo Stick is equipped with removable memory storage. This feature gives you the ability to store data simultaneously to an external drive without the need for another flash drive. A micr oSD car d (sold separ ately) is r equir ed to take advantage of the memory stor age featur e. It is r ecommended that the T urbo Stick be unplugged when inserting or removing a microSD card. Saving files to microSD The pr ocess of saving files to the micr oSD memory car d on your T urbo Stick is similar to saving files to any external flash drive on your computer. Saving files from an application: 1. Insert the T urbo Stick into your computer’s USB port. 2. The computer will detect new har dwar e and the Unplug/Eject icon will appear in the taskbar. 3.
