USING THE OVEN 5.1 Warnings and general advice When using for the first time, it is advisable to heat up the oven to its maximum temperature for enough time to burn off any possible oily manufacturing residues. If the food being cooked needs to be checked, it is best to leave the door open for as short a time as possible in order to avoid the temperature inside the oven from dropping too much and thus compromising cooking results. 5.
