Powering the unit: Your radio transceiver operates on four AAA batteries. Alkaline batteries will provide slightly better performance than rechargeable batteries. Only Audiovox approved rechargeable batteries can be recharged in the radio transceiver using the optional charger. This will ensure optimum performance for your radio. BATTERY INSTALLATION CLIP EMBOSSED RELEASE ARROW Your FR-541 requires four AAA alkaline or four re- LATCH chargeable AAA cells. Alkaline batteries will pro- vide the best performance from your transceiver.
