Charging the Battery Charging the Battery Before using it for the first time, the battery must be charged for at least four hours. When deli- vered, the battery is in the uncharged state and is in sleeping mode. The battery can be charged in any state i.e. at any charge level. Charging the Battery Note: 1. The length of the charging process depends on the capacity and the level of the charge. 2. Charge the battery at room temperature only. As soon as the ambient temperature of the battery is less than 0° or more than 40° the battery cannot be charged and the charging unit remains in standby mode. 3. Guarantee / General Notes Battery Batteries are subject to wear and tear. It is therefore normal for the capacity of the battery to decline with increasing age, use, and frequency of charging. For other guarantee provisions, please refer to the KETTLER Instructions for Assembly and Operation. Ground clearance Because of the position of the motor unit, the clearance between the lowest point of the frame and the ground in the area of the bottom bracket is about 5 cm less than for a standard cycle.
