FEATURES I. ABOUT WWVB (Radio Controlled Time) The NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology—Time and Frequency Division) WWVB radio station is located in FT. Collins, Colorado, and transmits the exact time signal continuously throughout the United States at 60 kHz. The signal can be received from up to 2,000 miles away through the internal antenna in the Weather Center. However, due to the nature of the Earth’s Ionosphere, reception is very limited during daylight hours.

One tendency arrow points up (on the left side of the Display) and one points down (on the right side of the Display). These arrows reflect current changes in the air pressure. MOUNTING Note: Before permanently mounting ensure that the Weather Center is able to receive WWVB signals from the desired location. Extreme and sudden changes in temperature will decrease the accuracy of the Weather Center, and changes in elevation will result with inaccurate weather forecasting for the next 12 to 24 hours. These changes will require a 12 to 24 hour wait before obtaining reliable data. To achieve a true temperature reading, avoid mounting the TX4U—Remote Thermo-Hygro
