Installing the Telephone on a Desk or Tabletop Place the Base Unit on a desk or tabletop, and plug one end of the Telephone Line Cord (supplied) into the "TELLINE" jack on the Base. Plug the other end of the cord into the telephone socket. The unique design of your XC 320 allows you to place the Handset on the Base Unit either facedown or in an upright position. Read This Before Installation We have designed your telephone to conform to Australia or New Zealand Radio Frequency regulations, and you can connect it to most telephone lines. If you are mounting the XC 320 on an existing standard wall plate: 1. Plug one end of the Telephone Line Cord (supplied) into the "TELLINE" jack on the top of the Base Unit. Low Battery Indicator When the Battery Pack in the Handset is very Iow and needs to be charged, the TALKlBATT LOWLED flashes every 3 seconds. If this occurs while you are on the phone, a short alert beep will also sound. When this happens, complete your call as quickly as possible, and return the Handset to the Base Unit for charging.
